"Early January, I flew to Santiago, Chile to combine my love of cycling and hiking with the sunshine. And escape the London winter!
When prepping for my trip, I wasn't quite sure what to do for snacks. I know what works for me when hitting the road or trails in the UK but this was a bit different. I was cycling the Carretera Austral in southern Chile, with hiking stops along the way, then potentially continuing further south where it'd be that bit more sparsely populated. With no guarantee of healthy energy fuel and snacks I was keen to take some emergency food with me for peace of mind. Fortunately Ollybars were my saviour!
Ollybars are packed full of goodness, taste and yummy (unlike loads of energy bars on the market!) and are very compact. I carried one or two in my cycling handlebar bag or the outside pouch of my day bag when hiking, so always easily accessible.
On the first day a friend and I hiked to a glacier which was a 20km round-trip. The hike took longer than expected after a river crossing that was quite challenging. By 5pm, our tummies started making loud hungry noises. It'd been a long day, and we had a more few kms to go so it was Ollybars to the rescue, giving us the final energy burst toget back to our campsite.
Thanks again to Ollybars for helping keep us fuelled through southern Chile! #fuelyourhappiness #naturolly"

"Ollybars were an absolute god-send on the rides, such a welcome break from the gels. I started handing them out to weary team mates and they commented how nice it was to eat something with actual whole foods" Dan
